The Annedd Ni Day Service aims to provide a range of different sessions catering for a diversity of needs and requirements. At our building in Sackville Road, Bangor we offer a variety of therapeutic, leisure, educational and social sessions.
Our support workers are dedicated to providing top quality personalised support to each individual with the aim of building confidence, gaining skills, promoting independence, providing social opportunities and just having fun.
We currently offer the following sessions. However, we are always open to new ideas, so if there is something that we do not currently offer which you would like to do just let us know and we will do our best to provide it.
Art and Craft:
We currently offer 4 art sessions each week- each session is run by an experienced instructor who will be able to guide you to create a range of pieces using a variety of methods such as painting, papier mache, and other materials.
We currently offer 2 music sessions each week, we have a variety of musical instruments for you to play including drums, guitars and percussion instruments. If you enjoy singing there is also the opportunity to sing along or perform solo during the session.
Come along and use your imagination to escape to another world! In the drama group the instructor will help you to produce your own pantomime and plays, develop your confidence in role play and make new friends along the way.
Dance and Movement:
This session is based in the Community Hall at Penrhosgarnedd,. You can enjoy a variety of music ranging from the party classics of Hokey-Cokey to more modern music. Our instructor will teach you some basic dance routines along with a few old favourites,. You can also enjoy playing games which will allow you to warm up in a fun way.
Climbing and Walking:
The walking club offers a half day or full day walking programme every Wednesday. Here, the qualified instructors lead walking trips around the local area. The club also has full access to the indoor climbing wall at Annedd Ni.
Transition Life Skills:
This session aims to provide individuals with essential skills and tools to enhance personal development and confidence in a fun and friendly environment.
The cookery sessions are held at Ysgol Syr Hugh in Caernarfon. This session aims to improve basic cookery skills and provide an awareness of food hygiene and good housekeeping. The group will choose recipes which they would like to make each week so you can learn how to make all your favourite meals
The needlework sessions have produced various craftworks such as rag dolls, peg bags and Christmas decorations. This is an ideal session if you are creative, but, don’t worry if you are not. Our staff will help you to learn how to thread a needle and to make some wonderful masterpieces. The needlework group is very social and informal
Take a step into the newly refurbished Snoezelen sensory room. Here you can relax on comfy beanbags whilst listening to calming music surrounded by the sights of different lighting effects, with a variety of sensory items to touch and feel.
